OMY Classes


Yoga foundations is beneficial to everyone. Beginners can use this time to learn about breath and build up to flow and evolving classes. More advanced students can work on precision and alignment. The instructor may choose a posture to "workshop" with multiple level variations.This class is all levels - and FANTASTIC for beginners. 
Intensity 1-2

Hatha Evolving

Yoga evolving is a fantastic class for anyone that has a regular yoga practice and is ready to EVOLVE! You will bring strength and focus to the entire body. This class will have less "flow" and will focus on longer static holds to explore the pose itself. Expect deeper variations of postures, inversions, and playfulness.

Flow is an invigorating class that creates oneness between breath with movement. Flow builds strength, flexibility and balance. This class incorporates sun salutations, linking a variety of postures and may even include introductions to arm balances and inversions. Flow is not a set series, allowing instructors the freedom to play with alignment and movement. This class is available to all levels. 
Intensity 2-3

Empower Flow

Tapas in yogic philosophy refers to strong determination. Challenge yours during Empower flow. This class with encourage you to tap into your power within! Explore a practice that balances strength, mobility, stability, and balance. In this playful practice we will move through a variety of postures (this may even include arm balances). Explore functional movement that may take you off your mat and outside of traditional yoga movement. Be empowered as you move to your own range of motion. Experience recommended. Expect to get sweaty!

Kundalini Yoga

This class is a spiritual workout in addition to a physical one. Your body, mind and spirit will be balanced through breath, movement, mudra and mantra.

Kundalini Yoga is an incredibly complete form of exercise for the muscles to maintain the strength and flexibility of the body. The effects of Kundalini yoga and meditation reverberate through out the dimensions of our being, and have a powerful effect on our spiritual growth 

All levels of experience encouraged. 

Yin Yoga

This style of yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the body and the fascia that covers the body. Yin Yoga will help regulate the flow of energy in the body. In a Yin Yoga class you will be encouraged to relax deeply into the posture, soften the muscle and move closer to the bone.

This is a meditative class, holding postures in stillness for up to 10 minutes. Don't worry, the postures are passive and the emphasis is on relaxing.

Perfect for all levels of experience. If you are always drawn to a powerful and physical class (considered Yang), try this class to compliment and improve your Yang practice.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga teaches you to relax - completely. Props are used to totally support your body so you can feel a deep release. Poses in this class are often held for as long as 15 minutes, drifting off is possible and acceptable.

Meditation in Kundalini Yoga contains specific, practical tools that carefully and precisely support the mind and guide the body through the use of breath, mantra, mudra, and focus. The range and variety of meditation techniques in the Kundalini Yoga tradition is truly extraordinary. There exist hundreds of meditations tailored to specific applications. There are meditations that reduce stress, work on addictions, increase vitality, and clear chakras, to name a few. While there exist many, many styles and approaches to meditation, what sets this approach to meditation apart is its precision, effectiveness, and practicality.

Prenatal Yoga

In this style of prenatal yoga we explore posture, breathing, mantra, meditation, affirmation and mudra all specific to and in support of the sacred transformation taking place. These are powerful tools you can draw upon during your pregnancy, during your labour, and during your transition into motherhood.  You will learn how go inward and find your limitless strength, how to move your body in ways that will support your delivery, and above all, how to trust yourself. As a woman preparing to bring life into this world, you must let go of fear, open your heart and celebrate!

Good for all stages of pregnancy, from trying to conceive onward. 

Gentle Yoga

Develop breath & body awareness while exploring gentle yoga postures (Asanas) and pure movement. This class is suitable for people with injuries, including back pain.
